Hi
Except if i’m mistaken, there’s not “REQUEST” section to suggest ccx improvements ; as described in a prepomax topic, *El print allows to output stress data, but only tensor components: in my opinion equivalent/principal values are missing.
Indeed:
- Calculix documentation/G. Dhondt book well explains that the values are extrapolated from integration points to nodes (using smoothing functions)
- so extrapolation introduces (i would say) a first “approximation level”
- if equivalent/principal stresses are recalculated from these extrapolated values, an additional “approximation” level is introduced
Since Mises, Tresca, major/intermediate/minor stresses have ever been calculated by ccx (at the integration points for sure), it might be usefull and more accurate to output it for any ELSET, mightn’t be?
