Hello, I tried adding the calculix windows build plug in on cubit, but as soon as I do it and relaunch Cubit, it fails as the program does not respond. The second I delete the windows build directory, Cubit launches successfully. I am using the 2025.3 version of Cubit and as for Calculix, I used the latest version on Github (2025.5) which is meant to work with the version of Cubit I installed. Any clues please ???
Hi @mj0496,
first guess would be that i build the binaries on windows 10 and my code currently produces a segfault on windows 11.
My plan was to drop windows 10 support this october. I think i will drop it with the next cubit release.
Do you have a way to run the linux build? The result reader and converter is also much faster on linux.
Hi @NorbertH, thank you for taking the time to answer, I thought I had done something wrong, that clears up some of the confusion I had. So, do you reckon the next release might work on windows 11 ?
Currently, I don’t have any way to run the linux build.
Yep. The next release should work. I just have to wait until the next release of cubit is out to do my maintenance work.
You could also setup a virtual machine to run ubuntu.
I am not in a hurry, so I would rather wait and just use it directly on windows.
Thank you so much for your work !
