I am new to CalculiX. Can anyone explain to me how to use these subroutines.
It states in one of them ¨This routine allows for the use of an ABAQUS umat user subroutine
in CalculiX. ¨ I don´t understand what it means.

My question is if I have a umat developed for Abaqus, can I use it directly in calculix or should I use write another one?
The functionality described there is for use of Abaqus UMAT subroutines directly in CalculiX. However, some limitations and differences are mentioned below and should be considered before trying to use the subroutine. Give it a try though.
That is the intent of these two subroutines. However, as mentioned by @Calc_em , you will likely need to tweak a few things.

Another thing is whether anyone was able to use VUMAT in Calculix because there is nothing about it in the documentation.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t work but give it a try. Just let us know if it works.
