*PRE-TENSION SECTION on tetrahedral mesh

It seems to be impossible to define a valid surface on a general tet mesh because of this requirement:

“the surface does not contain edges or vertices of elements which do not
have a face in common with the surface”

Is there any way around this or just don’t use *PRE-TENSION SECTION on tet meshes that aren’t carefully hand-made to satisfy it?

In case of tets, there is a workaround of extruding (with very little thikness) the faces to get wedges, and then use the face of this wedges in place of the tets.

Great idea Sergio. Thin layers to the rescue again!
