DOFs limits or largest model ran?

Hello, dear CalculiX community!

I’m working on a pretty big model of 12.2 million nodes (solid elements only) on a different solver, and I am wondering what is the largest size model some of you may have tried. This is just for reference only and maybe if some of you could share hints, tricks, recommendations, or similar to work with such big models. Also, if there are ways to do some domain decomposition in CalculiX? Or something similar.

Thanks!

The largest model I tried had 2 million elements and 3 million nodes. It was solved on a HPC computer using 16 cores in about 70 minutes (linear model). In the future we will try larger models, but probably not larger than 10 million nodes.
