Hello everyone,
I am doing a comparison with abaqus about COPEN.
I noticed that abaqus by defaut uses hard contact, while in ccx hard contact does not exist. It is swapped in soft contact.
So my question is: how can get the same value the penalty stiffness that abaqus uses in hard contact?

We don’t know exactly what penalty stiffness Abaqus uses for hard contact:

Does anyone know how calculate penalty stiffness in abaqus HARD contact? I tried to do CNORM/CDISP*CAREA but I didnt get good results. I would like to know to perform a correlation between calculix and abaqus penalty factor.
