As mentioned on the PrePoMax forum, theoretically, it should work for N=2, but maybe there are other issues too. Can you share the input files for two cases (3x3 and 5 funnel) that can be submitted in Abaqus and compared to see if they behave in the same way there ?

2 Kg= 19.61 N
