For all macOS users, building current versions (2.22) of CalculiX CrunchiX (ccx) and CalculiX GraphiX (cgx) should now be much easier with the [homebrew](https://brew.sh/) formulae provided by:

> **[GitHub - costerwi/homebrew-calculix: Calculix FEA for the Homebrew package manager](https://github.com/costerwi/homebrew-calculix)**
>
> Calculix FEA for the Homebrew package manager

Some notes:

- calculix-ccx comes with a multi-threading (MT) enabled build of SPOOLES and uses [arpack-ng](https://github.com/opencollab/arpack-ng)
- calculix-cgx relies on [XQuartz](https://github.com/XQuartz/), which is also available on homebrew

I tested both packages on an Apple M2 Arm chip (see [Add a formula for cgx (CalculiX GraphiX) by Durbul · Pull Request #8 · costerwi/homebrew-calculix · GitHub](https://github.com/costerwi/homebrew-calculix/pull/8) for an example).
Hope this helps some macOS users out there 🙂
