# Contact stabilize

Does anyone know if there is a card as \*contact controls stabilize in calculix?

No, only `*CONTACT DAMPING` but just for the implicit dynamic procedure.

You can look at the controls card and there are options for contact, but be careful.

I got the convergence of my model with c3d4.Now i switched them into c3d10 but I have on a node the same identical residual value for each iteration.  
Do anyone can help me?

`*CONTACT CONTROLS, STABILIZE` in Abaqus is used to add some numerical damping to handle initial rigid body motions. `*CONTROLS` common for both solvers is meant for general-purpose solver controls (mostly convergence criteria).
