# Connection of hex and tet elements

thanks @vicmw for remembering. right, the formulation of mixed linear element have a problem, so an [improvement](https://calculix.discourse.group/t/any-improvement-of-linear-tetrahedral-element/1516) of linear tetrahedral i discuss previously is required.

however, nodes continuity of a mesh probably more important than element formulation itself e.g quadratic mixed element (as figures before). another FE mesher and solver has pyramid or 27node hex element to fill this gap.
